Olympic gold medalists Chloe Kim, Eileen Gu and David Wise headline the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix at Copper Mountain, Colorado, airing this week on NBC Sports and Peacock.
The Copper Mountain Grand Prix features competition in snowboard and ski halfpipe.
Kim, the two-time reigning Olympic gold medalist in snowboard halfpipe, will compete for the first time this season.
Last season, she returned from a one-year break to become the first woman to land a 1260 in competition.
Gu was last beaten in a top-level ski halfpipe final in March 2021. Since winning two golds and one bronze at the 2022 Olympics, she returned to classes at Stanford, plus has also studied at Oxford.
Wise, who won the first two Olympic men's ski halfpipe titles in 2014 and 2018, then took silver in 2022, is competing in his last full Olympic cycle. He plans to make the Milan Cortina Olympics his final Games, should he qualify for the U.S. team next winter.
Two weeks ago, Wise was part of a U.S. men's ski halfpipe podium sweep at a World Cup in China with winner Nick Goepper and runner-up Alex Ferreira. Goepper and Ferreira, both Olympic medalists, are also expected at Copper.
