A County Durham family has begun its fourth year of charity fundraising through a spectacular Christmas lights display on their home.
How many lights do you put up each Christmas? Well, for the Ward family in Peterlee, this time of year means serious business.
For the last four years, dad and daughter team Simon and Georgia Ward have spent hours setting up over 50 lights and decorations each year for an anticipated 'switch on' event - this year being on Friday (December 6).

Hundreds of people are now expected to visit the house on Beck Place to see the festive display before Christmas.
Georgia, 24, told The Northern Echo: "My parents used to do the lights each year for us when we were kids.
"But then one year I was sorting out our loft and realised we had so many lights - I thought, why not put them up?
"We started with five or six on the wall and just got bigger and bigger to the point where we have no space left and have to use the garden too."

In the past, charities close to their hearts including Macmillan and the British Heart Foundation have been chosen in the memory of family members.
Georgia added: "For Macmillan, we did that because my grandma passed away from cancer. This year it's Alzheimer's for my grandad who is currently being tested. "We do it for things close to home and to help the community out.
It's mainly for the kids." But as the years go on and donations flood in, Georgia says they have no plans of stopping. "Every year we have hundreds of people come along to see it. It's great to see such a good reaction every year - it's really amazing. "There's no stopping now!"
