GULF SHORES, Ala. (WALA) - It's been an amazing day for our 10 Caring Gifts Toy Drive. We were live at Walmart on both sides of the bay -- on the Beltline, Daphne, and Gulf Shores.

Familiar faces with FOX 10 News started collecting donations at each location at 7 a.m. throughout the day until 6 p.m. For the first time this year, we expanded our collection site to include the Walmart in Gulf Shores. Just like we've experienced in Mobile and Daphne, viewers turned out to help us reach our goal to help families in need this Christmas.

Viewers donated toys for boys, girls, and teens. It was also incredible to talk with the viewers. We could not do this without them and can't thank them enough for their generous donations.

This is a collaborative effort with our community partners: Mercedes-Benz of Mobile, Fausak Tires, and VOA Southeast.

Our final push for toys continues Friday, Dec. 13, at Mercedes-Benz of Mobile. FOX10 News will be live from 7 a.m. to noon. Come out and donate and say hello.

We also continue to collect non-perishable food items for our 10 Caring Gifts Food Drive. You can donate through Sunday, Dec. 15, at any Greer's location.
