Kennedy Space Center adds limited-time 'Elite VIP Tour'

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is rolling out a new, limited-time, daylong VIP tour. The Brevard County attraction's KSC Elite VIP Tour Package will be available between Dec. 19 and Jan. 5.

The package includes personal guides for small groups with multiple tour stops including the Space Shuttle Atlantis exhibit, Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex and the Rocket Garden. Participants also get priority access for the Shuttle Launch Experience and Spaceport KSC rides.

The ticket includes a bus tour behind the scenes at NASA, including the enormous Vehicle Assembly Building and Launch Complex 39's Pad A and Pad B. Stops and schedules may be altered by spaceflight operations.

The tour is expected to last seven hours, and it includes a continental breakfast and a barbecue buffet lunch.

After the bus tour, Elite people can guide themselves through the Apollo/Saturn V Center or return to the main complex.

The tour also includes admission and parking for another visit before Jan. 26.
