Already with a double-digit lead at halftime, the Columbia River girls basketball team outscored R.A. Long by 17 points in the third quarter and earned a 65-40 road win.
Gracie Glavin highlighted an efficient shooting night for the Rapids with 19 points, including 3-of-3 from 3-point range. Mikayla King chipped in 11 points and Marley Myers added 10 points. The Rapids shot 48 percent from the floor.
R.A. Long's Evelyn Ofstun recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, plus two blocks. Alauna Brown added 14 points, two steals and two blocks.
"We played hard all night long and caused them some problems early on with our defense," R.A. Long coach JD Ott said. "Offensively we were a little stale ... Second half we didn't have the same legs as in the first half and they took advantage of it."
