Are dating apps really the best way to find love, or is there a city that makes it even easier? Atlanta has been ranked as the number one city in the U.S. for singles.

Alongside Georgia's anchor city, Augusta and Columbus also made the list, although on the lower tier of the cities surveyed.

Augusta placed No. 112 and Columbus placed No. 150.

WalletHub, a finance website, determined this ranking by comparing 182 cities across three categories:

Atlanta scored highly in all three categories. It has a high number of attractions, restaurants and nightlife activities, making it easy to find dates.

"Over 69% of the city's population is single (never married, widowed or divorced), the eighth-highest percentage in the country," according to the study.

"Atlanta also ranks as the 22nd-most accessible city in the country, based on the share of people who bike, walk or take public transportation, making it easy to travel to dates. Finally, it's easy to find a partner who's financially stable, as the city has the 21st-highest median annual household income, at nearly $79,000."
