WEST LAFAYETTE - For the second time in four days, Purdue football added a quarterback to its roster through the transfer portal.
Arkansas' Malachi Singleton committed to the Boilermakers on Thursday.
Now, Purdue also has EJ Colson in its quarterback room.
Colson transferred from Central Florida, where new Purdue quarterbacks coach Darin Hinshaw was the offensive coordinator.
At UCF, Colson played in three games as a true freshman this past season, completing 9 of 16 passes for 64 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
Colson was a three-star prospect by 247Sports out of Ellenwood, Ga.'s Cedar Grove High School. Hinshaw was the lead recruiter for UCF on Colson, luring him from a list of 13 offers.
